Strengthen Your Concrete With Steel Fibers

D & C Supply Co offers two types of steel fibers for concrete construction work: stainless steel fibers (Flex-Ten® Stainless Steel fibers) and carbon steel fibers (Flex-Ten® Steel Fibers).

Flex-Ten Steel Fibers (Carbon Steel Fibers)

Carbon steel fibers have been in use for more than 30 years. D & C Supply Co's Flex-Ten® Steel Fibers enhance the plasticity and ductility of concrete when used to reinforce it, and you get concrete with superior design and qualities as compared to traditional rebar-reinforced concrete.

For more details on Flex-Ten® Steel Fibers, reach out to us. Request a call back from our staff for a consultation.

Flex-Ten Stainless Steel Fibers

  • Use in the reinforcement of refractory materials leads to huge increase in refractory life and significant reduction in maintenance costs
  • Increase the tensile strength of concrete and its energy absorption capability during its critical period
  • Arrests the growth and development of cracks
  • Improves the flexural strength of the material leading to increase in ductility, which leads to increased thermal shock resistance
  • Reduced maintenance costs

Point to note:  Stainless steel fibers cannot perform above their melting temperatures. Where thermal gradients exist in the material, these fibers can perform very well, if at least 70% of the refractory material is below this critical temperature.
